Brake lights shouldn't make you see red. Downtown Partnership of Baltimore reminds you that instead of grinding your teeth in the bumper-to-bumper evening rush, you could be enjoying a bite to eat, finding the perfect pair of shoes, or just savoring the city ambiance that draws millions of visitors every year.
So, the next time I-395 backs up to Lombard Street and the radio traffic voice offers no hope, seize the moment -- and the good excuse -- to hang out in one of America's most dynamic downtowns.
Traffic Alert Coupons
Congestion ahead, prepare to shop.
Downtown Partnership has created a special shopping promotion tied to congestion.
A couple times a year when something dramatic happens to make the evening rush hour especially bad (eg, a sinkhole or water main leak), we will post an alert on this site that will include a downloadable coupon you can redeem at participating restaurants and shops that day only. It will be a great incentive for Downtown drivers to stay off the roads a little longer, and save their sanity in the process.
These great Downtown businesses have already signed up and are prepared to offer you special discounts when the coupon is activated:
Amarylis, Harborplace & The Gallery
California Tortilla, 300 W. Pratt Street
Fire & Ice, Harborplace & The Gallery
Lindt Chocolate, Harborplace & The Gallery
Maggie Moore’s, 21 N. Eutaw Street
Phillips Seafood Restaurant, Harborplace & The Gallery
Swatch, Harborplace & The Gallery
Filene's Basement, 600 Pratt Street
If you are a restaurant or store that would like to participate, please contact us at info@dpob.org.
